Open Source
Free for open-source maintainers
On public repositories Loopback answers GitHub issues with a diagnosis, finds duplicates, shows the blast radius of external pull requests and prepares verified fixes you approve.
GitHub App
Issues
- A diagnosis with links to the exact file and line at the current commit.
- Duplicates found by similar text and shared symbols, and label proposals.
- One comment per issue, updated in place instead of adding new ones, signed “Diagnosed by Loopback”.
- For a bug confirmed with high confidence: a draft pull request on a branch of your repository, for you to approve.
- Issues are never closed automatically, unless you enable it.
For maintainers
Your repository, your rules
Pull requests from forks
- The blast radius of each external contribution: who calls the changed code and what breaks elsewhere.
- Mechanical verification before your review.
- Code from forks never runs with secrets: the analysis runs server-side, in a sandbox without secrets.
- External pull requests are never merged automatically.
Good manners
- Add the no-loopback label to an issue to keep Loopback out of it.
- Comments are limited per hour and per repository, and you set the limit.
- Your CONTRIBUTING and CODE_OF_CONDUCT are respected.
Releases
Approved fixes are collected into one release proposal: Loopback proposes the tag and writes the changelog, and after your approval tells the people who opened the issues.
Who pays for the model
You bring a key: GitHub-hosted runners are free on public repositories, so the analysis costs you only the tokens. Or work in MCP mode with the agent you already pay for. The analysis of external pull requests runs in our sandbox, sponsored by Loopback within a monthly budget.
Managed credits
Sponsored Managed credits
For projects we choose together with their maintainers, Loopback pays for the tokens: fixes run in our cloud with Managed credits. Tell us about your project.
We review requests by hand and reply by email. Sending the form again with the same email updates your request.
